As if WDFN wasn't already dead enough to listeners now.

I think the station has a lot of potential. Although, they have a difficult time moving onto new topics. I have literally heard the exact same thing come out of their mouths 3 hours later, 6 hours later, and 24 hours later as if it's some kind of traffic update....But it's a discussion. I don't want to hear the same thing that was discussed in the morning AND at lunch. get some new material. And do some research and come up with your own ideas. Get a take.

Since 1130 talk shows personalities were canned, I've been thinking about satellite radio. 97.1 isn't even close.

No it really isn't. They talk about the same thing every day...and open phones is just a terrible idea. On WDFN, if I didn't like the topic, I could switch off, come back and see what the next topic is.

Well the open phones idea was a good idea in theory because people complained that they talked about the same stuff too much and wanted them to talk about different items.

BUT, it turns out, everyone wants to talk about the same stuff. LOL

Old news, but good that you bring it up. FM is much more accessible to me than AM. This took too long.

The problem with the ticket is if you listen for about 30 minutes you will hear every viewpoint there is on the topics they are discussing. If you listen past that, 99% of the time, you will just hear caller after caller rehashing what has already been said.

No one on The Ticket talks about food at 9am the way Sean Balligian did. For all his play on being the dumb fat guy, Wojo is one of the smartest sports guys around.

I suggest listening to K&A from 1:30 to 2:00. Then hit V&F from 2:00 to 2:30 or 3:00.

If Detroit was going to have only one sports talk station I would rather have 1130 but I do like some of the shows on the Ticket, but I can't stand the sports inferno when it's just Terry or a fill in host that's on the air with Terry it's ok. The whole angry ******bag and cool level head guy act gets old after a few minutes.

For the Pistons as long as Matt Dery continued to do the pre and post game show I'm cool with the move.

I love the ticket. I never really got into listening to 1130 so I don't know much about it but it seems like they are crumbling down.

I was tipped off by this move by one Matt Dery, but I respected his wishes to not say anything. That's why he made the move. But not even the Diesel can help 97.1. Their intelligence level is middle of the pack at best. Good stories and local experiences, appear to get cut short by the hosts, because their thoughts are MORE IMPORTANT. It will never reach the level of the old WDFN. But the current WDFN, is currently below that. It's like driving a car with just two wheels. It goes no where, the hosts like the Killer, rehash the same LIONS TALK OVER AND OVER, and it kills the whole day with a major buzz kil1! Except for Sean's show, I don't listen anymore, because it sounds just like the SCREAMING IDIOT, down the dial in the afternoon. And with this Michigan scandal just blooming, it has now unleashed DREW "DULL" SHARPE on his usual I HATE MICHIGAN AND THE BIG TEN rant. Most of the guys on that station now, are fill ins and replacements. I always hold out hope for Stoney and Wojo, like maybe when the new year comes, UNCLEAR CHANNEL will tear up their contracts and welcome them back! Because at this point, the two wheel car's tire is losing air!

p.s. I've tried emailing the so called BRAIN TRUST of Unclear Channel, about the return of Stoney and Wojo, but they have chosen to respond to me with the CONE OF SILENCE!
