When it's all said and done, Darko or Thabeet? Or does Oden get in on this action too?

Cases for both arguments, I personally think Thabeet will be a non factor in the NBA, he won't be a starter type in the NBA, Darko will for sure be the better player. With that being said, Darko was taken 2nd in the most stacked draft in NBA history.

darko wont be a bust if he shows something this year. i think the knicks will finally use him the way he was meant to be used. Whether he still has it or not remains to be seen.

He has to show about 20 & 10. Throw in 3 blocks. A 55% field goal percentage?

Only way he stands with the others, which is what he has to do.

In D'Antoni's system, he easiliy could. Especially if they sign Sessions!

Darko is a solid bench player, and is still young enough to improve. We will see if Oden can stay healthy. Thabeet still hasn't played in an NBA game, so its way too early to make any projections about him.

lay off the crack. amare stoudemire and shaq never even averaged 20 & 10, and they had steve nash. but darko's gonna "easiliy" do it with sessions? that scrub will be lucky if he even starts

Well, Oden has already shown he's better than Darko when he's on the court. Just has to cut down on fouls and stay healthy.

I think Thabeet will be comparable to Darko on the court, but the difference is, Darko was picked in a draft that was absolutely stacked. Thabeet was picked in a draft that many called the weakest in recent memory.

So for that reason, I'll say Darko.

my money is on Thabeet. I wouldn't be that shocked to see him go the way of the recent project centers drafted by the SuperSonics.

As a Pistons fan, Darko definitely hurts more though.

So far Darko has to be considered the biggest bust in NBA history. He has done very little with all that talent he possess. He hasn't had a major injury and it is just his attitude keeping him from being a great player. When considered what he was projected to be and what he has turned into Darko has to be the biggest bust. Even though he isn't a choice I would put Kwame second.

Unlike Darko opinions of Thabeet are mixed. Nobody really sees him as a future HOF can't miss center like Darko was projected to be. The hope is he is the second coming of Dekembe Mutombo. While I respect Dekembe and his accomplishments he was never a franchise player and that was what was predicted for the other 2 players. My personal opinion is Thabeet won't be anything more than a serviceable back up center much like Diop.

I look at Oden differently than most. Yes he failed to live up to the hype in his rookie year but I still view his rookie season as a success. Greg's numbers were quit impressive when you consider that he was a 20 yr old rookie, with one year of college ball and coming off of major knee surgery. To me Greg showed he is going to be very good player if he can keep himself healthy. Also I have a hard time labeling players that suffer major injuries busts. That is something out of their control. To me a bust is someone like Darko who is healthy and fails to make use of their talent.

i disagree with you a lot. First of all Darko never was used at all how he should be used. What did larry do the first time he got to the nba? Darko get your *** on the block an dont leave there. I dont care if you can shoot drive or anything, leave that to the short guys. So what happened here was that you stunt darkos growth which is a for sure thing cause i went through the same thing. I got shoved playing the 4-5 just cause i was taller an stronger then most, then what happens, you have to learn how to play a whole new game, the post an perimeter are completely different animals folks. I point to that as the number one reason darko busted, sure his attitude sucked when he was here, cause i dont hear anything bad bout him since he left. You can't expect to make him completely tear down what made him a success an expect him to be alright an not upset. Along with not expect his game to be destroyed, bball is a game of confidence which darkos game completely lacks

Dude he's a career 21 and 9 guy....
And Shaq was with D'Antoni for a half a season and is like 450 in NBA year.... I'll lay off the pipe if you do to!

Let's everyone lay off the pipe, shall we?

Darko isn't going to average half of 20 and 10 w/ 2 blocks.

Darko is only a bust because of the talent around him. There have been drafts where the entire pool sucked, like the Kwame year.

Darko might still do something. Oden might still do something. Until they are out of the NBA, you never really know.

If Thabeet handles the job of blocking shots and getting a few rebounds, he will already be better than Darko was. He just has to does those two things consistently. The Grizzlies already know where there scoring is coming from.
