It seems that the NBA’s poster children of Lebra & Kobe won’t be playing each other for the NBA Championship. Last year it was about the Celtics Team against the Lakers & Kobe Bryant, this year stern wants a Kobe vs. lebra championship. You want to see those two go at each other? Incorporate a one on one championship tournament. Yea like that could happen. NBA SHOULD FOCUS ON TEAMS, NOT INDIVIDUALS WITH HUMAN CHARACTER FLAWS.

I think it will be Denver v. Cavs unless Garnett comes back. The only time the Finals were about teams was when the Spurs played the Pistons.

Do you understand how goofy you sound claiming that a professional organization is fixing the results of their championship?

Especially when it is painfully clear that the Cavs are the best team in the east and that the Lakers are the best team in the west.

I would argue with the Lakers being the best out west...and if the Celtics get KG back should they make the conference Finals, they will have something to say about the Cavs as well.

Nope & Nope,..

LeBron James is the best player and he's carrying an entire franchise. While Kobe Bryant is an established name as a mere entertaining volume shooter with memorable exploits.

But the Denver Nuggets now having a championship driven PG they're the best team in the West. Which without Garnett able to go for the Celtics the Magic is the best team in the East,..no doubt about it.

The Nuggets having George Karl isn't a real problem as long as Chauncey keeps taking the reigns.

The Magic's only problem is they have a Stan Van Gundy and no LeBron or Chauncey to keep him in silenced check.

But make no doubt about it David Stern absolutely has his eyes fixed upon a sheer marketing bullseye of pitting LeBron -vs- Kobe to contend otherwise.

I wouldn't call it fixing but you can't deny certain players benefit from shady calls at times that flips momentum. Now to the Nuggets and the Magic do they have a chance to knocked off the teams they're facing? Sure. But will the Magic and the Nuggets knock off the Cavs and the Lakers? Hell no.

Both teams will put up a good fight against Stern's poster babies but at the end of the day it's going to be Lakers v. Cavaliers in the 2009 NBA Finals.

The NBA Finals will be about 'Individuals' making their 'Teams' better...

A la Kobe and Lebron.

Though the same could be said for Howard, Billups, and Anthony.

key word: professional

is it really that unfathomable to you that a PROFESSIONAL organization would do something dishonest in order to maximize their profits?
