Barely playing, tonight he played 4:46. I thought he was talking up his stint with NY as the turning point? Way to go Darko, you're awesome.

LOL I'm just waiting for him to be involved in one of the Knicks' dysfunctional dramas.

From October 18:

quote:
Darko Milicic has talent, but even new coach Mike D'Antoni's not sure Darko is ever going to figure out how to use it.

"It's a question of, can he put it together and feel comfortable and have a role and can you handle the action that's going on? Those are things you discover by coaching," D'Antoni said. "It's hit and miss. When you draft a draft pick, you don't know for sure." If Darko doesn't break through this time, there's a good chance he could go back to Europe.

He was a DNP tonight. Wink

It still bothers me how he was badmouthing the Pistons during his tenure here. Sorry you were drafted to an Elite NBA team and couldn't find playing time with Sheed, Ben, McDyess, etc.

Darko is still young, he has a chance to grow a pair of nuts and play ball like a pro.

Don't count on it, as Black Thought said, Darko is garbage. He is arrogant and it's hard to teach an arrogant person anything.

His a tall, thin center who is soft. That combination NEVER adds up to a good NBA player. He will continue to get eaten alive for the rest of his career.

Thing is Darko isn't thin or soft. He's like 275 lbs., which is not thin by any means for a basketball player his height. And, I don't think he's really soft much at all. He plays tough and mean and he'll foul you hard and step up to fight. But, he doesn't play smart, and he just sucks at basketball. I don't think being too thin or soft was ever really a problem. I think he's just not very bright in general, including his basketball IQ. He often would look lost at both ends of the court. Size, athleticism, skill, and even an adequate level of competitiveness are there. It's the actual ability to play that is missing.
