some of the basketball opinions here are pretty silly. Dumar's had a perfect storm--h caused some of it. Nothing I've seen from him indicates he's a psycho--so he probab;y acknowledges some mistakes. Sheedwas and will always be trouble after the grace period. He came to Detroit in disgrace and had to face playrs like Wallace and Billups and Hunter and prove himself. To have AI, Sheed and no team leaders and young players is a disaster--it lasted a year and now this team will retool. Dumars is crrating competition at every position except the 5. At the 5, he can't--there's not available talent. But the Stuckey guarentee is over. HHe'll compete with Bynum. Rip and BG will compete. DW was signed so that a VERY athletic 3 will compete with Prince as well as the draftpicks. All the picks will compete with the VERY young CV. You can already see this team will be more disciplined and far less sure of who will get minutes and who won't. from cv, bg and RH you have 57 ppg alone. BG is a warrior--make no mistake. Bynum hasscored at evry level he has played. Hamilton will not be faced with the CB trade, AI, benching or Curry.Most importantly, he'll be truly pushed by BG who is not only a special scorer but a genuinely tough, cooperative player. If Hamilton wants out of Detroit he;ll need to show he has it to get a decent team to trade for that contract of his. Look for Dumars to add McDyess and maybe a hard playing but otherwise challenged big until February. BTW at least one of the picks, and I think it's gonna be this Swedish kid is gonna surprise everyone.
