Rip's "Yessir" is Global Login/Join

I saw a foreign player end his interview (Jokic) with "Yessir"..

I remember when Rip first said that, Blaha or someone like that asked where that came from. Rip said it was something said around Coatesville, but now EVERYONE says it. Non-basketball players, too.. I know I've heard it said around here.

Used colloquially in hip hop for like two decades now, from Wu-Tang to MF Doom, pretty sure it’s not Rip’s term to be credited. Pharrell even had a side project called The Yessirs.

The way Rip would say it probably has roots from his hometown, but in turn probably was based on the way Pharrell would say it, “yezzzirr.” Reference the beginning of the Snoop music video for Let’s get blown, 2004.

Ah... 99% of the music (and movies) I love is from the 60/70s Smiler

But I still think Rip helped a bit. I remember him saying this over on the night we won the title, and millions heard him say it over and over.
