I've only watched 1.5 games so may have missed some things, but I don't think I've ever seen an NBA team categorically not use their big men on offense like the Pistons. It seems like the only time they get the ball within the flow of the offense is at the three point line where only CV has the skill set to do anything.

Now I know these guys are not exactly world beaters, but if you're going to play Kwame and Maxiel you might as well use them on offense. Kwame can score some if you dump the ball to him in the post. Maxiel has proven that he can score if you get him the ball in the 12-15 foot range or post him up depending on the match-up (see 2007-2008 when he avg. 8 ppg in 21.6 minutes and couldn't shoot as well as he can now).

This post will likely incite the usual thoughtful comments of "Maxiel sucks," "Trade Maxiel," etc., but there's a reason he's only taken 4 shots in 3 games; he's mostly getting the ball 20+ feet away from the basket. That's not his game. Even McDyess wouldn't be taking shots if that's the position he was getting the ball.

I didn't watch us blow either lead, but I imagine a part of it was because the opposing coach realized our big men were not going to be involved, thus adjusted. It's like in football, where you have to have some balance between the pass and run to keep the defense honest, even if you have Peyton Manning (which we don't).

Is it coach Q or Joe D? It's not rocket science. Wilcox has proven that over 82 games, he can get you 13 pts/gm. He's a better ft shooter than both Kwame and Max, and he's at least as athletic as either of them. He should be playing more than both of them. We're undersized but we have to at least pose a threat in the post. Wilcox and CV can do that. Right now CV appears frustrated with the way he's being used.

There has to be some order, i.e. a "know your role" invoked on the team. CV needs to be one of the top 3 scoring options night in, night out behind Rip and BG. To consistently see him get waived off by Bynum so that he can get his shot off is ridiculous. Bynum even does it to BG. Unless the game is a blowout or he's specifically asked to, Bynum should never take as many shots as any of our primary scorers. If we're going to build someones confidence and allow them to get into the flow at this point it'd better be CV.

For the good of the team: Stuckey has to stop trying to be "the Man". He's not our go to guy, even if Rip is out. He doesn't seem to let the game come to him or facilitate for his teammates. It just doesn't seem that he's taking most of his shots within the context of the offense.

Again, I'd go to BG and get his opinion of Eddie Curry and whether he could help us. If so, get the deal done.

our bigs need to set screens, like biggity ben does. That get's them dunks, because instead of our loaded backcourt taking all jumpers. They'll be penetrating, which mean get ya roll on, easy dump off for a dunk, or palace crowd erupting put back, aka EASY POINTS!

Every big we have needs, to learn as much as they can from ben, his defense really makes detroit defense go.

Pistons don't have a guy who drives and does an easy dump off. Stuckey and Bynum are just both out of control this season, they both have been making me pull my hair out. When stuckey and bynum both drive the center or PF doubles on them both with out worry knowing there looking to score first pass second, and that's the wrong mind set of a point guard.

slam jam thank you mam
