Just some conversation to get us through the offseason:

Question:
Which would be the bigger step forward for this team, Kwame living up to his hype or Stuckey living up to his hype?

Choices:
Kwame Brown
Rodney Stuckey

Stuckey needs to take over and run the half court offense, manage the shot clock, and make plays to open teammates. Last season, we lost too many games where we had a big lead, but continued to run, and shoot, taking only a few seconds off the clock. He also needs to work on his outside shot.

Brown has been in the league a long time, and I don't expect his game to change that much. I don't expect him to live up to being a #1 pick.

Kwame Brown?

Kwame should be an after thought. He has no chance of living up to his hype. That's not why he was brought in here.

Stuck! He has to take Big steps in order for this team to have a chance. He doesn't have to carry the load on offense but, he can't aford to second guess himself or hesitate one second.
I am looking for him to run plays, read and react.

He has to learn he teamate spots and get the ball too Rip,Ben,CV and Prince early so they are in rythem. He has to keep his man off balanced. When he starts to think of Stuck just as a distributer, that's when he goes to attack mode.

If he can do that, without developing (Tunnel vision) and Stay tough on D. The Sky could be the limit.

But, if he panics or tries too hard to force the game to come to him. This season will be over alot sooner and we'll see Rip and Tay get moved by Feb.

I do think that the addition of Big Ben could really help Kwame. He can teach KB to Rebound, Block and be effective without having to score.
Thats what we really need for him. and I am also hopeful that He can do the same with Wilcox.

I don't think anyone in their right mind thinks that Kwame will live up to his hype. I think the question was just meant who would help the team more, Kwame if he lived up to his hype from the beginning of his career, or Stuckey's from the beginning of his.

kwame is a done deal. he just needs to be big, defend & rebound. if he does that, he's fine by me.

i'd say villanueva, stuckey and wilcox are all higher priority. in that order.

Stuckey by far. Kwame has no hype. He's just expected to be a big body to clog up the lane defensively & get rebounds. Anything else is a bonus.

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing how good Stuckey is going to be. Sure, there is potential, but he still has no long-range shot, and he makes a lot of bad passes. Those are 2 not-so-good things for your starting PG.

Stuckey needs to live up to his full potential and Kwame needs to learn tough defense from Ben Wallace.
