WTF is wrong with Dumars? Correct me if I'm wrong, the starting team from last year was Prince, Rip, Stuckey, Sheed Wallace and McDyess. They won't 46 games. Essentially, he replaces Wallace and McDyess with Villanueva and Ben and added Ben Gordan. He still haven't address SIZE on the interior or a real true point guard. Is he trying to play on the intelligence of loyal fans? This team he has put together is garbage. He's done NOTHING since 04

His 3 guard rotation looked dominant the first game, we need Rip back and CV31 will definitely look better after he starts to develop chemistry with his teamates.

It's also one season. You can't replace every problem in one year. There was a thread on here, I'm too lazy to tell you the topic, about how rebuilding takes more than one year, and the only team to pretty much ever completely rebuild in a year was Boston two years ago. We addressed scoring this year in the guard spot. BG is a backup and can provide 20+ a game, and looks killer with Rip. Next year, or even trade deadline time, the size position can be addressed.

It's not entirely Dumars fault...The teams didn't deliver at all after 05....

But it's also true that the rebuilding should have started 3 years ago because the starting line up wasn't really going anywhere after their back to back finals and Sheed should have been traded a lot earlier.....

Problem with Dumars is he doesn't take too many risks with his trade moves....

This team isn't really garbage but you can't really go far with the rebuilding with this line up...because there is no real raw talent is this team.....Stuckey will eventually become a great role player but he'll never be someone who can take it to the opposition....

Too many decent role players and no one to carry this team on his shoulder....

Do you not watch much basketball???!!! Dumars has done plenty for the Pistons since DAY 1. Pay attention to the team for a while, you might learn something. Pistons have 3 players who are 6-11 and 2 that are 6-10. None are stars by any means, but Dumars put together a team that is exciting and should be better and better as the season goes on. Right now injuries to Rip & Tay will be tough on the team, but once healthy they will be good. As for the PG, who was available that Dumars should have gone after?
