I'd like for Charlie to start but it would shock me if Coach Q starts the season starting both Kwame and Ben in the front court (perish the thought). If that's the case, I do hope Charlie does start eventually at some point in the season and by season's end he's the regular starter at PF.

But I wouldn't call it a waste of talent if he didn't start. He's come off the bench before and been productive doing so. It's not what I personally would like to see, but I don't think it would be a waste.

Kwame and Ben both play the low post. Charlie and, to a lessor extent, Jerebko, can spread the floor, creating room for others to get to the rim. Our offense will be better with Villanueva, and when Villanueva returned to the lineup, coach Q sat Wallace.

If we want to play physical at the beginning of a game, Wallace should start, but the offense needs Charlie. If Villanueva plays 30 minutes, with a true PG, he will average 20 & 10.

Injury or not, this guy was brought in for 40 million after averaging 16 and 5 in less than 20 minutes. He better start and play 36 minutes a night. You cannot find out how good a player is if you give him 25 minutes a night off the bench. If Kuester is more concerned with distributing minutes than giving the best players burn, we're doomed. Big Ben? C'mon, I love him but he brings nothing. He is our player coach right now. CV and Kwame start and then Jerebko. That's it after what I've seen in the preseason. Those are my guys.

Don't Worry we are only giving Ben a few starts for him and the Detroit fans. If we start him after that, id think Kwame would be on the bench.

having bynum bg an charlie v coming off the bench isn't a bad idea either, back in the day we had 2 units, especially when carlisle was here, an it was a huge reason for our success, an many a games the alternatorz as they were coined by the great jon barry won the game for us. not often times, but every game he would sub in practically a whole new unit, its a lil foggy, im pretty sure it was jon barry, corliss, zelly, an chucky i think once smooth got here, damon jones before that, an would alternate the starters into that core, like leave rip in there a lil, then put smooth in there, then come back with all the starters, unless one or more of the alternatorz were rolling then they stayed in. That was what started our great bench play that got us a ship

CV should start, Ben and Kwame are not scorers so offense would be Stuckey, Rip, & Tay. That would be predictable and those three would be easy to double team. I worry about the offense with that line up. Start Kwame & CV, bring Ben in off the bench.

If I'm not mistaking we were going to do the same for Okur before he left to go to utah.. We made a deal with sheed and then we were going to sign okur for the same price as CV.. Okur was going to come off the bench too..

right now there is no forward on the team with the talent level that he has. That simply means he has to start, because he is better than anyone else.

I know coach Q like the defense of Wallace/Brown, the two can't spread the floor, and we got off to a slow start in almost every exhibition game.

Wallace and Brown are the worst shooters on the team. Having the together allows opponents to cheat defensively. And their inability to open the low post forces everyone else to take low percentage shots from the perimeter.

Villanueva needs to play with the starters, and get 30 minutes a game.

I cant believe we are actually talking about this online. Charlie Vilaneuva needs the minutes and starting position to become one of the top 10 pf's in the league. This guy has alot of potential. I mean what other Pf's have scored 48 points in one nba game?????????? Maybe Dirk and Amare? This guy is definitely what we needed. Start him.

+1
Coach Q could start Ben & CV and then have Kwame come in when Ben sits. Consistent D and harder to cheat on O.
