i think our success/failure is gonna rest on him. if he can manage to stop playing like mateen cleaves, i like our chances against anybody. i really hope he redeems himself with our first round series. otherwise, i wouldn't be totally opposed to listening to offers for him this summer. especially with the way bynum's been pwning lately and with the money we have to spend.

actually, i think i'd be satisfied if he could just finish his layups

I agree 100%, but you can't just put the blame on him. Curry has plays drawn where he brings it to halfcourt and either gives it up to Rip or Tay. And if you seen the Pacer game he was being fouled every time to the hoop.

with the way bynum's been playing, i doubt it's just curry's plays that are screwing stuckey over. but in defense of his layups, he does get jerked out of about 4 FTs a game. at least.

put bynum in the starting lineup and I bet he looks worse then stuckey because bynum have freedom coming of the bench while cstuckey has to get rip, tay, sheed and dyess the ball while bynum can come in and jack up shots left and right.

Plus you cant blame stuckey blame coach curry for running the offense through rip the whole time stuckey is out there because it takes away stuckey being aggressive he brings the ball pass half court and passes it to rip you think he wants to play like that.Thats his coach telling him to do that

bynum is playing with a bunch of bench players while stuckey is playing is playing with vets he has to get the ball to while bynum has the freedom to do whatever

Stuckey does get hosed on a lot calls, there were about 3 calls in the 1st half alone last night that he shoulda got. Agreed with this thread, our success will depend on him, which is no fault on him, but in reality what is needed of him.

No doubt. We know what we're getting from the other guys. We have the same team as last year now except we replaced Billups with Stuckey and replaced Stuckey with Bynum.

It's all about whether Stuckey can play better than Billups has in the playoffs.

i wouldnt say that just stuckey needs to i would say the team as a whole needs to find there rythm and get there step back. Overall i think the pistons have a good shot and i would love love love to see them beat clev first round if that's who they play. although that will be very difficult...if they took out the cavs that would make my season

bring bramos home!!!!!!

We replaced Chauncey with Iverson. Unless you're referring to the starting lineup.

Stuckey still needs to work on his jump shot. He threw up about two airballs early on in the first quarter.

That is very true and those were shots he was hitting early in the season. His jumper has clearly regressed through the season.

I don't think he's got his legs. When he drives now it seems like he gets no real elevation and ends up getting stuffed. The last few games there were many times where I felt like he was only going in to get the contact and wasn't really looking to finish until he got fouled.

Next season he'll have his legs back under him and the jumper and drives will be there.

Hmm. My other post has "vanished". I guess criticizing suckey and the fans who swing from his nutz will get your posts deleted on here. No matter. You bandwagoners will deny you ever supported the bum and hitch your wagons to some other overhyped flavor of the month.

I've noticed that as well. When I take a look at Stuckey, and compare the former to the latter, the biggest difference is his confidence. For whatever reason, his confidence has been shot. Big time.
