It's one of the points I've been stressing for weeks now.

A new pointguard as well as a new coach spells trouble for Rip.

All it takes is one lightbulb in any coaches head to realize that they've got a rare-of-a-kind, curl-and-screen shooting expert in Rip. Then they would draw up some plays for this very thing. It should be utilized 'til the wheels fall off. There's no reason why it shouldn't be done with Rip now.

Problem is...

1) AI isn't a pointguard, and isn't exactly in tune to dribbling around and passing around until someone like Rip finishes running circles around the defense.

2) Stuckey didn't have enough time to learn when to get the ball to Rip after the latter comes off those curls (he would have learned had Chauncey remained around a bit longer; last season wasn't quite long enough).

This is truly an unfortunate thing.

Langois actually made a great point on his mailbag today. Rip was the best player on a Uconn team that won the 'chip. Biilups was not the point guard for that team. And they didn't run an offensive set created by Larry Brown to get him shots either. Rip will adapt.

I dont know where you are getting that from. Rip is still running off screens. It may seem like hes not doing it as much but a reason for that may be becuase there running a lot more, and not in the halfcourt set as much. Rips getting shots off screens, jumpers in transision, and hes still getting that occasional corner three that he was getting last year.

EXACTLY. If and when Rip leaves this team, I can guarantee his new team will utilize rips screen running ability and spot shooting to perfection. Could be scary, imagine; Rip, Nash, Stoudamire, Barbosa...

A little bit crazy, but I get the job done.

Yeah right. And also Rips getting more inside shots since AI. Maybe if he couuld make a layup to save his life ther'd be no problems with him ya think? hmmm.
He made one tonight against Bucks though./... Yay! Only 10 more times before he makes another one. Hopefully he adjusts faster to to get accuracy with points in the paint!
He still gonna get the same amount of shots just in different places most times til they get used to eachother.
I hope we keep screwin up with our plays honestly. Just so nobody can figure us out til it's too late! Like in 2004 basically, yet to a maybe little lesser degree or maybe better.

i strongly disagree with point 2, stuckey has as good of chemistry with rip as anyone else not named chauncey, an if u ask me mimics his delivery most similar to smooths

What I noticed in the past games, Rip is a poor ball handler and almost of the turnovers lately is when the ball is in Rip's hands.Play him with Stuckey a point guard.
