Before the CB trade, he was passionate, the technical fouls he gets that are reactionary to his behavior, he's passionate enough to yell and flail his arms and legs and the refs mistake that for him being a knucklehead, he's not, he's just passionate. You watch him play for Boston or SA wherever he ends up, you'll see it again!

I love the signing.. I think we got a steal for only 7 million a year. But come on, don't compare him to Sheed. Sheed was one of the top 5 PF's in the game for a while... Villanueva is no better than 10th or so.

The key word here is was. Sheed is a very good low post defender, but can no longer close on perimeter shooters. At this point in his career, he's a better center than he is a PF. He's lost a step or two. I don't know whether to attribute it to injuries or age.

We will miss Sheed, but not for his ability at PF, but because he was a good center, who could also spread the floor, something few centers can do.

At this point in their careers i'd definitly rather have Charlie V. My whole point was that Charlie V is no Sheed... when Sheed was in his prime.

His passion to win started to slip when we pulled a Portland on him and started trying to use him as a featured post up man in place of Corliss... It further deteriorated when Flip pulled a Dunleavy and made him use Hack-A-Shaq. It was gone with the combo of an injury and AI's poison 'tude...

He had flashes when he carried us through the regular season a couple of times the last 3 years, and even put upon himself the yolk when Ben left...

Sheed is the 2nd best post defender of our time, behind Cliff Robinson. If Charlie V is a quarter of what Sheed still brings when healthy, at 7 mill a year, CV is a steal.

Its funny you ask that, This quote is directly from my Facebook friend Sarah.

"Sarah Cline and Nate are having an amazing adventure. We met NBA star Cliff Robinson and his crew, watched fireworks from a boat, discovered a new breed of badger/skunk/weasel/wolverine."
