I'm sorry but, these 2 veterans still have alot of talent and skill and can still be a factor when its all said and done. Having these two go to a title contending team would really hurt. These type of players can't be replaced easily. Both players used to be the main guys on their former teams.

What do you think?

Childs, have you been on the Spurs and Heat boards lately? I think you need a dose of Redlion. Hmm, have you ever heard of Redlion before? Darn, he's retired.

Sheed is old, McDyess is old. Sheed gets technicals every 2-3 games unless he is injured. McDyess is old, he can still rebound and play D and thats probably it. Dyess used to be A'mare St before his surgery, now he is past his prime. Signing Dyess back would be ok, not Sheed. Sheed is probably going to Boston and their roster would have the best chance of getting a title (besides LA and maybe Orlando). I can't stand Sheed getting off nights and rarely good nights, as well as getting technicals over fouls. That will be Boston's problem

AJG, Orlando has digressed so far this offseason. Carter will not make Orlando better. Losing Gortat hurts as well as Hedo. Don't make Orlando look all that well just because they made the finals. If it had been Detroit and Orlando in the 1st round I would take Detroit (again) just because the Pistons own the Magic.

We have somewhere between $3-5M left to spend on FA. We're going to be hard pressed to get either one, let alone both. Although at this point, McDyess is clearly the better player.

But if this post is all about daydreaming, than why don't we convince Kobe & Boozer to opt out of their contracts (which they can still do up until July 8) and then sign with us for the vet. minimum.

That would be a sweet bench: Bynum, Gordon, Kobe, Boozer, Maxiell, Daye, Summers, & Afflalo.
