can anyone who knows the cap situation please tell me who we can afford next summer. Hopefully we'll only be one good signing away from being contenders again

If the roster stays exactly like it is the at the beginning of next season we will have around 50 million in salary. So if the cap is somewhere around 60 it should give us $10 mil.

But this is of course without Bynum on the books and depending on his play he could get anywhere up to around 5-6 million a year. So really we would just have enough for a solid bench player.

If we were, to say, trade Rip and Prince for Bosh with his $15 million coming off at the end of the season and the subtraction of Rip and Tay's contracts we would be around $26 million and would be major players next year as well. All while still having a young core of Stuckey, Gordon, Afflalo, Daye, Summers, the Swede, Maxiell, and Villinueva.

If u look at the yr that joe first got into office full time.. He lost grant hill and then got a steal in ben wallace and a bonus in chucky atkins.. traded mateen cleaves for jon barry.. traded jud buechler, john wallace and someone else of cliff robinson and then we became legit from that point on..

Now im saying charlie v is the corner like ben was or am I saying ben gordon is better than chucky(even though he is)... All I'm saying is that joe is making a good start.. If he gets takers with a offer that he likes for rip or tay or both together.. He will take, and say hello to the new team (the zoo crew).. We will be some caged animals this yr... Last yr we shouldnt have made the playoffs but hey we did...

Just like we fired george irvine when joe sign him to contract after one yr and went after carlisle he's doing the same with curry for who I dare say (avery johnson).... In 3 yrs we will be competing for a title again.. Boston will be done by then, Orl will be overpaying contracts, and clev will be clev lebron or without lebron coming close but not getting it done...

My thoughts

Bosh or Boozer will be a piston before the yr is over..

So we'd actually be in even better shape if we traded Rip and Tay for Bosh and just let Bosh walk after next season? But as of now, we are out of the running for any of the big names next season?
