What did I do? I just want a good team like everyone else.

Is it to much to ask for a guy the league respects like every other team has? When good trade offers hit your table, to maybe consider them?

I've stayed loyal to Michigan and I deserve better, Joe Dumars. I stay here with these people who only dream of being not the worse, while I think we can be the best. These people put no faith in their market and their city shows it. They're all cowards who crumble like cheese at the slightest whiff of something controversial. I PUT UP WITH THIS AND I PUT UP WITH THEM! I deserve better! I deserve a team with a player that i can count on to show up for every game! I deserve to think that my GM of the Pistons will do everything in their power to put a product on the floor that can win a Championship. We are not second rate trash that has to come together to equal the brains of one avg New fracking Yorker. We shouldn't have to be afraid of people not coming here to play! You guys have put this idea that no star will ever come here and that we have to settle with other teams trash. You guys made this man (Joe Dumars) believe that! You guys are my enemy!

Joe D grow a pair and go get us a real player.

3 games into the season and you're done uh... Your melodrama is astounding... I wish you'd just quit posting on here. But, if opening up self pity threads makes you happy then by all means look like a bigger moron than you already do....

Joe D. needs to make a major move. Trade C.V., Prince & maybe a draft choice for some one like Dirk. C.V. is too soft. Has no inside game & plays soft defense. You would hope after he signed a big contract that he would try to improve his game . He just laughed all the way to the bank. All those games have taken their toll on Prince need to get something while he still has some value. Why Joe D. can't see we need a Big Man who has an inside game is beyond me. What is his love for big men who can't score inside. Otherwise the top 8 teams will beat us by 20+ points each game. Can't see Joe D. around much longer if he doesn't get wise to how poor this team is.

Ben Gordon and Villanueva arent trash.

Please, you make it sound like Joe D is turning down Prince for Stoudemire and Rip for Bosh trades everday. If he came across a deal that would have made us better he would have done it.

You are probably one of the people that wanted us to save up all of our cap for 2010, lose 60 games this year, and then sign somebody whos a star. You are stupid.

Even if somehow landed the Pistons a star player, then we would have 1 star, nobody around him, no cap to get players around him, and 30 wins opposed to 20.

You cant rebuild into contenders in 1 season unless you are the Celtics and get these lopsided deals. Thats happened once in league history.

Not once, but it only happens to lucky GMs. The Lakers are in the position they are in now because of the Kwame - Gasol trade, total BS.

Who is talking about Ben Gordon?

And from what I heard Joe has turned down deals that would make this team better. Joe Dumars has not always done what is in the best interest of this team. Shall we name them all? There is no way a token bandwagon fan like yourself would want to go down that road.

Let's say you are right that and I wanted to lose 60 games and get the number 1 pick. You called me stupid for that?! Let's take a look at what you obviously want to do then. Spend all the money on borderline trash pieces that would only compliment a star and be locked into that team for 2 - 3 years! You are stuck in Limbo! Like I stated you are the very reason this state sucks! You have no ability to think outside of the box, you would rather look at your shoes and keep on the same track! You suck and you're disgusting, and what's worse you are infectious. You infect all the other stupid little followers with your ability to want an underachieving team and actually devalue your own worth.

What's wrong with saving for a star!? Why do you think we do not deserve one? More than that how do you think a team will get one without going to the lottery?

Do you understand that this team is locked for 3 years and we suck! We suck! get that! We have no one of value on this roster but BG and Rip. Everybody else is garbage and no one will want them after this season. Joe Dumars turned down Rondo because he wanted to keep Stuckey! He turned down a true legit player for an unproven commodity!? We have nothing and you need to understand that you are the reason why.

You ungrateful little SOB! 6 straight ECFs. 1 Title, one of the most dramatic NBA finals in recent memory. All done with one theme in mind, one team mantra, 0 superstars, all under the cap. 3 Titles in team history, years of success. And you think you deserve something better?

This is NOT Los Angeles, it's NOT New York. Let's look at this in perspective here. Some franchises like LA transcend the rules. Some franchises get extremely lucky with a great draft pick (Duncan, Jordan, Olajuwan). What are the other franchises looking at? None are looking at multiple titles. None are looking at the success we've had.

BOOHOO! We were only at or near the top of the food chain for the past 7 years. We have a slightly down year, and now everybody is whining.

Look at the real facts. There are only two ways to land a superstar player who wins titles, draft them, or trade for them. You can only name 1!!!!! in the past 20 years that has been acquired via free agency. Shaq, and it was because Orlando low balled him so much that the move had to be made. Also, he didn't win anything for 3 years until Kobe grew up and they brought in Phil.

So let's look at our opportunities to draft. Have we missed a stud yet? Only Wade, which nobody, even the top GMs in the league could envision at the time. Bosh won't win you titles, Anthony won't win you titles, not without a ton of help.

Ok, lets look at trades. Who were we going to trade in the last 6 years when we had a unified team making it to or near the finals each year? Who would we have gotten that wouldn't have made everybody scream and shout? Iverson? We saw how that worked out. In that deal we got the better player, the more cap finance and the better deal with McDyess coming back. Not anything in trades either.

So either we have to sit it out, lose for a bit and strike luck in the draft (which can obviously happen) or we have to make a blockbuster trade with our pieces sometime in the future. Either way, Joe has done exactly what us fans have wanted the entire time and its turned out well.

To say you "deserve" better is to be an ungrateful fool. Stop cheering for OUR Pistons bandwagon hopper!

First, you say we spent money on trash. Then you say you never mentioned Gordon.

I'm defending the Pisotns. You are Calling ME a bandwagon fan???

You are ripping on the Pistons because they arent very good. I'm not. IM THE BANDWAGON FAN? What the hell kind of sense does that make?

Lets say the Pistons have a star. So we got a star, nobody else, and 25 wins. Great!

Back in 2001 from 2003, Joe D invested in complimentary pieces in Wallace, Rip, Billups, look what they did. You thought they were Trash too.

I cant believe I'm the one defending the team and you call be a bandwagoner. You are basically telling us the Pistons arent good so you hate them. Thats Ironic isnt it?

Theres a difference between an underachieving team and a team on the rise. The Pistons have young, talented players with potential who are going to grow together as brothers and get better. Same as 2002.

The Pistons were never contenders this year, they never would have been, no matter what. Its called rebuilding. This isnt a team full of veterans who just cant produce. Its young guys making names for themselves.

Why would you trade Stuckey, Rip, and Prince for Allen and Rondo? That would mean that we would start a rookie. It wouldnt have allowed us to sign players like Gordon, Villanueva, or Wilcox. That trade is giving away 3 dollars and getting two in return.

I'm ungrateful!? You are content with all the things you have stated! Everything you stated has happened in the past and even then it was not enough. Stop living in the past and try to see how things will look in the future. You need to open your mind to this team not getting better. You need to stop bringing up the past or this team will end up like the City(A thing of the past). Because the majority of people here refused to open their eyes and face reality. You are not hungry to win, Detroiter's are not hungry to win, Michiganders are not hungry to win so our teams do not win. You just want your team to play well and be friends! That's crap! I won't fall into the same filthy slush that you are in and my mind will not be held captive by empty words like "friend" and "chemistry", while other teams have put teams together in 1 year and beat us! They are better because they have better players! Period. If you have any pride as a Michigander than you would want your team to stand up and fight back! You're complacency makes me sick.

You want to get better now?

This is what happened. Sign BG and CV. Put a quality team together than can contend for a playoff seed this year, and get better.

You told me that you were OK with losing 60 games, getting a 'superstar', and having nobody else but that star. Thats looking toward the future? But signing Gordon, Wilcox, and Villanueva isnt?

Amare is staying with the Suns. Bosh is happy and isnt leaving Toronto. No chance in hell LeBron or Wade would come to the Pistons if they opted out. Only 1 'superstar' has switched teams the past 20 years and that was Shaq. And you act like the Pistons can just pick and choose whatever one they want, this isnt a freaking grocery store where you take whatever. There is going to be only 1 big name available, if that. And that big name is going to New Jersey or New York if they opt out, and that big name would be getting a max contract.

You dont build a franchise on a prayer or a hope. Your plan isnt looking toward the future, its setting up a failure and a big disapointment.

You want lose 60 games, just for a small chance to even TALK to a big name player? lets say you get that player, who do you have to play beside him? Nobody, because you let all your quality players walk in order to gain cap space.

I'll take Stuckey, Hamilton, Gordon, Prince, and Villanueva over....

Bynum, Gordon, Daye, Stoudemire, and Kwame Brown. Because thats what you'll have with your special little plan.

Yes you want to win, but you cant just flip a switch and boom have a contender. You have to build to it. And siging Gordon and Villanueva, alongside Stuckey, Prince and Hamilton, is a start. You let Stuckey mature and get a quality big man via trade or free agency (I said quality not superstar, the difference is that one is realistic) and you have a team that is more than capable of winning 50 games.

Yes you are hungry to win, but you are letting that overtake common sense. Outside of the Celtics, show me a team that totally rebuilt its roster into a contender in 1 season?

The lakers were horrible for 3 years until Gasol

The Heat were bad for a long time before Shaq.

The Pistons stunk for 10 years before Wallace, Billups, and Hamilton. From the time they got Wallace to 'start' the re-tooling, it took 3 more years until the Pistons were contenders. BG, CV is a better building block than wallace was. Not to mention that team had chucky and cliff, which isnt as good as Rip, Stuckey, and Prince.

The Celtics were horrible before Bird, McHale, and Parish.

The Lakers were horrible before Magic and Kareem.

The Bad Boys were horrible before Isiah.

The Bulls were horrible before Jordan.

If it was THAT easy to build a winning team, none of those teams I just mentioned would have ever had a losing season. If it was THAT easy, every team would be a contender.

You keep just asking questions. Don't argue with me, argue with my research.

Give me 5 franchises better than the Pistons have been?
