If Curry moved one of the team's current starters to a sixth man role, the most likely candidates would be Allen Iverson or Richard Hamilton, who missed his second game in a row Monday due to a sore left groin.

"We've looked at our lineup different times and we've thought about different guys coming off the bench," Curry said. "But we haven't made a decision on that."

Curry pointed out some teams have found success with players coming off the bench.

"The Lakers with Lamar Odom, it's effective for them," Curry said. "(Andrei) Kirilenko in Utah has been effective. Same thing with (Manu) Ginobili in San Antonio. It can be effective.

"Whether any of our perimeter guys, one of them coming off the bench, maybe we'll have to look at it. But we'll just cross that bridge when we get to it."

lets hope Curry has the balls to do so, starting Amir or Brown along with Prince, Wallace, Stuckey, and either Iverson or Hamilton

I like AI starting and Rip coming off the bench

For this move to happen a losing streak would be required. and I'm 100% in favor of that. A nice 4 game one would really help jump start that train.

I agree 100% with this. One of those two needs to go to the bench. Personally, I think it should be AI. We have Stuck in the starting lineup who can creat for himself and others. We don't need two of those players starting off the game. Bring him off the bench and let him be the man like he is used to doing. If you bring Rip off the bench that means Bynum will have to get more PT and I would rather have AI as the PG off of the bench thus giving AA or Herrmann more PT as well. I think this move is a win win for everyone involved.

I agree. We need more of a post presence than we get with the small lineup. Amir or Kwame should be in there, depending on matchups.

The second unit needs a penetrating guard, and that's either AI, Stuckey or Bynum. Since Stuckey is a starter, AI is the logical choice. He would add lots of scoring to the 2nd unit. Hamilton is a scorer, but is not a playmaker.

I don't see it happening with Iverson. Rip may agree to it even though he has an ego too and we all know that.

My prediction if Iverson was moved to the bench would be the same thing he did in Philly when he was brought off the bench for ONE game. He'll run through a list of all his accomplishments and cry to the media "I don't know no (insert career accomplishment here) that come off the bench".

Hamilton has been here long enough to understand what it's about here, he should be the one you try to convince to come off the bench. He'll still get his minutes and points. Somehow I doubt the ego of either one will allow it though.

Shot vinnie johnson did as well as john long when dumars came in and john long was the captain...

Rip needs someone to create shots for him so I think it is wise to maximize his time with Stuckey, hence bring AI off the bench, who can create his own shot without Stuckey.

It isn't a punishment thing, it is about finding the best fit.

Maxiell said he has developed a trick to help him slow down and focus at the line. "It's all mental, it's always been mental," he said. "I just say 'Happy Gilmore' and try to go to my happy place. I think of my happy place, picture my girl and shoot."

You just quoted an unknown source?

What makes the opinion of whoever the author of this article is, more valid then a million and one members on this board who have been saying the same exact thing?

Obviously it will be one of the two, if anything even happens to begin with.

I didn't say you 'don't have a source' I said you didn't post the source.

Quoting your source is a tradition that has been practiced for thousands of years.

Since they've both been averaging about the same amount of points since A.I's arrival (if not, the difference wouldn't be that big) I would say you stand corrected.

However, A.I is a much better player (IMO).

Edit: I sure hope you two aren't the same people. It's clear to see that they are two different user names. If you have enough time to post on the internet under two different names you're a dorkus.

Wow, I wonder if the guy has some P.com messageboard stronghold in his basement with like, 4-5 PC's and 6 laptops running with individual accounts open, ready to post at any given time.

It won't matter who is on the court as long as Rodney is running the show!
