Looks like Avery J. will be the new coach. Dallas is looking to trade Dampier. He has coached him before. Dampier, despite all the unfair criticism, is a legit center. He can be another solid defender in the middle along with Kwame. Pistons need to pursue realistic prospects. Joe D. should look into trading for Damp and Avery can help.

Erick Dampier will make $12,115,500 next season. What do you propose we trade for him? Hamilton or Prince, and who else?

Also, he'll be 34 years old this month.

i wouldn't donate rip though. i'm not even sure dampier's better than kwame. i'd rather just start kwame and sign some minimum scrubs like melvin ely or jamaal magloire to come off the bench than make that trade

You cant even make that comparison on age. Shaq is Shaq and Erick Dampier is Erick Dampier... AND HE'S OVERPAID. You can do way better for that much $. Dont settle. Get the right guy. I dont believe you just compared possibly the best Center ever to someone that is mediocre at best. Bad argument.

My bad. I didn't realize Damp is owed that much $$. I disagree however with those who think he's mediocre. The guy gets up and down the court, rebounds, blocks shots, and has decent hands. There are very few legit centers out there. Now I understand why Dallas wants to get out from under that contract. perhaps we could meet them half way.

I don't see how we can trade for Erick when he makes that much (nor would I want to) Maybe if he is bought out. Wouldn't mind Big Ben if he was bought out either.

If you are looking to trade for bigs, Charlotte might be a good partner. I don't think they are too high on Okafor for what he makes, they have tried to dump Nazr, and I don't think they played Diop much last year.

Okafor, Diop for Rip J-max. Both Diop and Okafor have fairly large contracts. Diop makes more and has a longer contract then Max and I think they would trade Okafur for Rip. Could even through in Tay for Gerald Wallace

Stuck/Bynum
Gordon/Afflalo
Tay or Wallace/Daye/Summers
Charlie V/Kwame
Okafor/Diop

Pickup or trade for another cheap guard and cheap bigman and you have a pretty balanced squad.

Maxiell said he has developed a trick to help him slow down and focus at the line. "It's all mental, it's always been mental," he said. "I just say 'Happy Gilmore' and try to go to my happy place. I think of my happy place, picture my girl and shoot."

Pretty similar salary to Tyson Chandler who I think would be better and younger.

At least the big O could shoot, hell I take him before I'd want Dampier on this team....
