Today's game will shhowsome thhings. How does a rookie match up with Smith? Who holds Johnson? Does Mario West stop former Jacket Bynum? Kwame v. Horford, It's this kind of game where the bed wetters see why Joe got BG. I wanna see Summers on Smith. Tay/Hamilton on Williams. I actuakky think the teams are very evenly matched with theHawks having a more talented first fiove but the Pistons being able to offset that with waves of matchups. Detroit doesn't have anyone who can touch Horford but hitting him with Ben, Kwame and Jarebko will be interesting. Same with Johnson--let's see how he does chasing Hamilton and BG all day.

GM. I take it seriously because players and teams take it seriously, that's why I'm talking about matchups. Detroit is the question mark this year. No one knows what they'll look like and everyone knows two rooks ave been booted for fighhting. You put Ben back in the mix with guys like BG, Maxand, Wilcox potentially embarassing people and you're gonna get ramped up games in a hurry. It's not the regular season but it's not a shoot around either. If BG explodes on Johson or Daye makes it clear Williams can't guard ghim on the perimeter or Smith gets tangled with Summers it matters. This is basketball, not football. Even in preseason, if you own someone you own them and way too often Detroit let Atlanta players owen thhem thhe last two years.
