That leaves us with 12 practice players and fewer than 12 if an injury occurs. 10 day contracts can be signed January 5th...

Better than just having them sit on the bench do nothing. The D-League helped Amir! Hopefully it will help them too!

Walter should have been there all the long. He needs playing time and experience. It has been a long while since he has played competetive basketball.

I'm still not sure why Acker was brought back? He doesn't fill a role and he doesn't look like that promising of a prospect. I also find it odd that Alex would be sent to the D-league while Rip is out with a injury. I wonder if Joe has another trade up his sleeve?

Jesus Focker it's just a game

They probably didn't want to take them on the West Coast trip. Maybe when they get back to town, they'll return to Detroit and practice with the team.

With Stuckey, AI, Afflalo and Bynum ahead of him, they probably don't need Acker.

Alex Acker is not getting minutes and they would be given to Bynum even with RIP out, thus he was probably asked if he wanted to get some exposure in the D-Leage. Ofcourse he would rather than not playing at all.

Why would the Pistons want Acker to go? Probably not because he is unpolished like Sharpe. It is probably because he is the mature person that they need to ensure Walter Sharpe stays on task while he is in Fort Wayne.

That's no joke - Ft. Wayne is a crack haven. This is not hearsay, I've seen it.
