First remember it's the playoffs where everybody starts with a 0-0 record. We're going against the best team in the NBA (record wise). They have one of the best players in the NBA, and their goal is to win a championship, so it's not going to be easy for us. R chances are very slim. They’re the better team, and winning against them is unlikely, but am trying to stay positive, and hopefully we’ll find light in this dark cave. I think the Pistons have enough tools, talent, and experience to upset the Cavs.

To do that, our genius coach gotta stick with one starting line-up:

PG- R. Stuckey
SG- R. Hamilton
SF- T. Prince
PF- A. McDyess
C- R. Wallace

Stuckey, 'Sheed, and Tay all need to step up big time. They have to play well in this series if we want to have a shot.

I want to see 'Sheed GLUED in the paint. No one on the Cavs roster can gaurd him. He has a lot of talent, and can ‘cause a lot of damage, so he better take advantage. I want to see Stuckey attacking at all times, and he gotta make better decisions for himself and his teammates. He also needs to realize that he was one of the reasons to why we traded Chauncey, so he has to play better. Tay gotta show up offensively. He has a tendency of disappearing in big series’! He gotta make LeBron defend him. (I hope he shows up defensively too!)

Our bench should outplay theirs. We have Bynum who been playing GREAT for us. Max with his great energy. Afflalo's defense, and he isn't that bad offensively. We all know what Herrmann can do. With Kwame u'll never know! He can play great at times, but all am asking from him is defense.

Offensively, I want to see the Pistons attacking the rim at every position. This strategy worked against the Cavaliers on Mar. 31! They couldn’t do much about it, and it put them in foul trouble. It really caused a lot of damage. Also our offensive rebounding has been GREAT. I’m looking for that to continue.

Defensively, EVERY shot should be contested. With LeBron we can’t throw one body at him for the whole game. It got to be a team effort to at least bother him. It’s starts with Tay, to Afflalo, Stuckey, Rip, and Herrmann. We have to throw all of them at him so he can get confused, and not get used to one style of defense. They should double team LeBron too, and make him give up the ball. That’s the only effective way to slow him down! You also can’t forget about Mo, he had a great regular season. Stuckey can defend him, but he also got to make him work on the other end! They’re also a good 3PT team, but we usually do a good job defending the 3PT line.

For the Pistons to win a series like this they have to stay focused, and play with a lot of energy. There really isn’t any room for mistakes! We have to play prefect.

The Cavs are 7-6 against NBA division leaders:

Boston (2-2)
Orlando (1-2) *TWO ROAD GAMES
Denver (2-0)
LA Lakers (0-2)
San Antonio (2-0)

Home: 5-1, Road: 2-5

They pretty much suck on the road against elite teams. I think they’ll be just like Boston at the start of last year’s playoffs when they couldn’t win a road game, until they faced us Frowner!

Remember with the Pistons it’s always how they play NOT who they play! This is a rivalry. It’s not about records or numbers. It’s about toughness. It’s about how much you want it! It’s about heart! If the Pistons show hunger, they’ll win no matter what! That’s what this team been missing after that ’04 championship, HUNGER!

I also like the fact that we’re starting on the road! This gives “Mr. Genius” time to fix mistakes, and make adjustments.

My prediction: If we’re going to upset them it’s gonna be Pistons in 6. Or lose in 7!

I mean u’ll never know! If we click, even Curry can’t stop us! WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE!

I think its crucial that stuckey puts pressure on mo willams on the defensive end. also rip on delonte, we should have a major size advantage on the perimeter. LeBron cant guard all our guards along with tay. An by pressure i dont just mean score on them. I mean drive bump into them an get the foul. Its gonna be really hard to get calls against them. Im assuming the nba will be riding on clevelands sack. So therefor we have to force them to make calls. Keep our destiny in our own hands. Not the nba's

If that's a travel, I would hesitate to say that it clearly is.

I said clearly because he took two steps after he stopped dribbling...wtfff, what makes it even more bizzare is they showed it like 3 or 4 times during the Denver/Portland game, how does no one realize how absurd that is.

edit: just in case your wondering - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYa5u-lPS8c

what the heck are the refs watching

I could be wrong, but I think you are allowed 2 1/2 steps after the last dribble.

It is very clear. He takes 3 steps after picking up the ball. That's a travel.

Cavs is 4. We have to many what if's to take down the Cavs. It a good time to be rebuilding because the LeBron era is hear for this year and next. Then he moves to a big city and will have to rebuild a bit. The Cavs have looked great all season and they can't be stopped at home.

It's 1 1/2... basically u stop your dribble, take one step then on the very next you have to lift off, Now if your doing a jump stop, you must land on both feet at the same time an lift off with both feet at the same time. I'm not sure but thats the way i was taught, But its for sure not 2 an a half watching lebron all those times skewed your perception of whats a travel.

An WOW! KoD im a fan of LeBron's but didnt realize he traveled that bad that often, I guess since hes so fast i never noticed. An i was watching that game they have on the commercial didnt even notice till now that he traveled that obviously.

My question is how different is this from the times we faced shaq an he traveled literally every time he got the ball

It's the Cavs' year. If any team other than the Pistons are going to win the championship this year I certainly would prefer the Cavs over LA or Boston. Cavs are unlikely to be rattled even if the Pistons put up a good fight, which is extremely doubtful. Cleveland in 5.

Yeah I don't see stern letting anything come between his MVP's playing in the Finals. As soon as I saw the "Amazing" comercial last year when they kept showing the Celtics I knew that Detroit was going to get screwed.

Those Comercials to me are a subliminal stamp that the team is going to the finals.

Wow, traveling would be even crazier in the league if they were allowed 2 1/2 steps. Players would abuse that and not even dribble anymore. Can switch your pivot foot back and forth. Once you get past half court in transition, you don't have to dribble anymore. It's always been 1 1/2 steps, but it's been loosely interpreted in the NBA for decades. If the rule were 2 1/2 steps, I don't think refs would even call travels anymore.

Cavs in 5. If Cleveland doesn't finally hoist a title this year, they may never. KG out. Soft East. LeBron's ready. Pressure much?

What's a half step? You either take a step, or you don't...

Half step generally applies when you pick up the basketball in mid stride. Even though you've taken a step already before you picked up the ball, if you haven't landed that foot before you pick up the basketball, that's a half step.
