We are really hurting without Stuckey in the game, it will be a miracle if we can get out of this game with a little dignity still intact.

Very poor defender. Doesn't move his feet. Swipes with his arms aimlessly which gets him ticky-tack fouls. Doesn't know how to defend the pick-and-roll. Looks very poor defensively. I didn't think he was that bad.

The thing is, Wilcox to me is more of a banger not a guy who's going to step out and guard quicker/more mobile bigs. A guy like Bosh is difficult for him and the same goes for Bargnani because they can both hit jump shots, put the ball on the floor and all that stuff. Last night, against a banger like Howard he did pretty well.

Offensively, he needs someone who can create for him. He's been struggling offensively, he needs a few alleys and easy dunks to get him going but there's no one on this team to create for him. Rip and Prince could, but we know they aren't out there. I'd like to see him and BG in some more pick and roll action. We need to get him rolling to the basket....

Dude has had one bad game and now everyone is so ready to give up on him, ha. Like I said, Bosh and Bargnani are just bad matchups for him defensively and I explained why he has struggled offensively.

offensively, i think he's capable. but his defense has a ways to go before we can use him for anything serious. him & villanueva look lost out there. i didnt expect either to be this bad on D

So, we have to wait for his favorable match up to come along and then judge him?

That's stupid, he can't guard them because he is no good. Basically what you said is that he sucks and you use that as an excuse not to bash him... I am lost.

I think this topic should say "Stuckey looks horrible".

He's responsible for most of these losses. I literally hate the kid. Hate's a strong word, yes I know. He's absolute garbage though.

He's probably very good in practice defending Brown and Maxiell.

Coach Q had Daye defending Bargani. I guess Maxiell and Brown couldn't do it either. Maybe Amir Johnson could have stayed with him. We need Jerebko at the 4 instead of the 3. Hopefully, when Prince comes back, Jerebko will be the 1st off the benchat the 4.

I'm not sure who thought he was a low post scorer. He's never really been one, certainly not in the NBA. He has the ability to score, especially better than Ben or Kwame, but it's not out of the low post. He's the type of big man that can score because he's athletic and somewhat quick for a big. So, he can score off of alley-oop plays and by running the floor and off the offensive glass and off of dribble drive penetration passes to him. But even in college, he wasn't a post player. He was those things and he was a decent 10-12 foot midrange jump shooter. I think he's lost that since he's been in the NBA because his jumper doesn't look all that great.

I think what people thought, well at least I did, was that Wilcox was adequate enough on defense and better than Ben and Kwame on offense, at least to the point where he wouldn't brick easy lay-ups, miss dunks, or throw up short hook shots that miss the rim entirely. What has turned out to be the case at least early on in these first few games is that Wilcox is not at all adequate on defense and his offense doesn't look all that much better than Kwame's or Ben's... well maybe but not by a big enough difference as it should be.

I really had a positive opinion of Wilcox before and when the Pistons signed him. I even talked about using a bigger portion of the cap space on him, something like what Charlie got but for shorter years. But, I'm glad they didn't because the early returns are pretty bad. Hopefully, he shows differently when he gets more chances, if he gets more chances.

No doubt. Even in garbage time against Charlotte he was the worst player on the floor. This guy should get NO minutes. When Rip returns he should get deactivated.

One of the biggest wastes of money in Piston history.
