I have been very quiet and reading the boards for the last few months..... and about half the pistons the fans wanna fire curry and the other half want to bench one of the starters. I have to say this, but i think success of winning over the last 6 years (mainly the regular season) has spoiled most of you Piston fans!

I dont like losing either or some of the choices made on the court but guess what? this is part of the growing pains that comes when you get a young team with new talent, so DEAL with it!

I honestly dont think this team is going to the ECF or very deep in the playoffs this season, so i dont expect much from them other then get along with each other and respect the coach.

Speaking of curry, give the man a Chance! We are not even at the All-Star break and you wanna fire him. He has to learn on his own how to deal with this team, so regardless if he sinks or swim, support him at the games and build him up.

Finally i wanna say that im so thankful you guys dont make decisions for this team! The fans here are some on the MOST flip floppy, nothing-is-going-my-way, cry babies ive seen! The last 3 years you were tired of the core players turning on the switch and were tired of the passive coach in flip. Joe D gets a superSTAR and a defensive minded coach and we lose quite a few games and you guys act like this franchise is done with if we dont make the playoffs! We are not going to be losers year after year like most franchises, maybe this year, but not EVERY year, so suck it up!

This team is built for LONG term success, be thankful you have a team that is rebuilding and still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

That is all for now....

general stereotyping, an wheres currys defensive prowess? i certainly dont see it, an alotta people more then most didnt want the core to break up till joe d said he was done wit it, an by far my biggest beef is listen to ur own advice, be patient, yet u already scratchin them off as at most, with a miracle makin the ecf, if we get it rollin like we should anything is possible...aka championship

Curry cant coach, the core was no longer going to win, and if we give curry time then we have the right to give this team some time. I think the reason there not winning is because curry dont know how to use what he has for talent of the players.

slam jam thank you mam

I personally think its funny that people get so upset that others don't like AI. It's their personal feelings and opinions not to like AI. He didn't really start off on a good foot you know. I think people need to get over themselves and their love for AI and let people express their thoughts. We listen to theirs and they should listen to others. Talk about it and argue...but it is rather annoying once the thread gets highjack and all that is being talked about is how stupid their name calling is. Grow up people.

Chris, I don't think you reflect the views of everyone on this board.

The Curry stuff gets old but people are going to complain. Nothing you can do really.

Hey man - watch out - that's straight up arrogance, borderline sociopath talk there.

The "it's simple to me, anyone who doesn't get it is just befuddled or comical" is a great way to ostracize just about everyone and it takes two to communicate so if you think your end is dead on, but the other end (i.e. all the people you are trying to reach) all disagree... it may be that:

1. You are communicating poorly (or at least a great deal worse than you think you are)

or

2. They completely understand your "lehman's terms" logic and just disagree with you completely (which they are entitled to).

It's cool that a lot of people support your ideas, but to belittle those who don't is messed up. CHALLENGE them all you can - bring up every point you possibly can to tear down their argument... but make a CASE, not a character attack or a statement like: "I just can't stand it when ANYONE can't understand the simplest of analogies" as if you are the master communicator of analogies.

I'll back you up when I'm with you on something without any personal bias, this I promise (I promise everyone on this board), but I can't go with you when you are that strongly antagonistic.

I just can't stand it when ANYONE (this even goes for the people I respect on here) can't understand the simplest of analogies. I even lay my posts out in lehman's terms 90% of the time. It's just comical when people still come off befuddled.

I think Dumars should get rid of all the present players including Stuckey and Iverson but keep Herrmann and build the team around him.

Yeah, I can agree with that 100% - my solution is to start remembering who's posts are solid, valid, and worthwhile and just slowly discard what the people say that is just unsubstantiated and seemingly ignorant (in my own, humble opinion). It's all entertainment anyways, so don't let it get you down, man. And how's the job hunt?

Deliberation? Discretion? Self-Restraint?

These are all great virtues for any message board to be successful.

Just like a great basketball team hires professional athletes, not fans.

Still, Chris doesn't have to read everything... just like nobody on this board HAS to post their opinion on EVERYTHING, EVERY TIME.

Why the hell does it upset you that people want Curry fired or Rip benched?

It seems the only reason people are speaking out (and yes we are spoiled fans) is because we want to win!!! And if someone thinks that these moves will make us better than they should speak up. You can disagree and say it without belittling people while you sit on your mystical high horse of knowledge.

And don't call Curry a defensive minded coach just because he wants to be; he has to succeed at defense before he can be called defensive minded.
