It's a pretty simple question, which team do you disdain above any others? Why?

This may come as a bit of a shock, but I would probably pick Cleveland. They're the only team that I watch only to see if they'll lose. LeBron is growing more and more arrogant as each season passes by and the fans carry themselves with the most pretentious feeling of superiority, as if they've ever won the championship. I like Z and Delonte West, but that team is loaded with players I can't stomach: Anderson Varejao (aka Floppy McFloppenstein), Mo Williams (is it still a guarantee if nothing I ever say comes true?), and Daniel Gibson (every three I make I'll smirk as if what I just did is a common occurence....it isn't)

I probably would choose Cleveland, as well. Not just because of the bitter rivalry between Detroit and Cleveland. Same reason I hated the Bulls back in the mid-90s. Get off of Lebron's balls! He, unlike Jordan, hasn't done anything. At least Jordan did something back in the day. I still hated him. I can't stand seeing a Cleveland game and 40 year old women and 40 year old computer programmer men who have probably never watched a game of basketball in their life before Lebron came around. A guy that my grandpa works with has his entire garage wall painted into a mural dedicated to Lebron. Can not stand.

I think that Varejao is the most overpaid player in the league. I do enjoy some Big Z, and I don't mind Shaq. But please, because they have Shaq they automatically will win the title? Shaq's not what they're missing. Delonte West is ugly and I can't stand to watch him play with his punk attitude off the court. And the rest of the team... this could go on.

i wouldnt waste my time with cleveland, they have done nothing, never won a ship and it doesn't seem like they are going to get it anytime soon. I personally cant stand utah, they seem to always have our number and i hated them even more when they landed memo. I am still bitter from that OT loss last year....

Because of history growing up I can't stand the Celtics, Lakers, Bulls and Jazz.

Because of the last 10 years I can't stand the Cavs, Heat and Pacers. And I REALLY hate the Heat! D Wade is amazing but I hate how ****y he is when he comes into the Palace.

My hatreds stem from teams/players that are forced down your throats by the media...like they are telling us who we are supposed to follow. Thus, my list is fairly simple.

1. Cavs/Lebron...look at the Cavs aren't they having fun, pretending to pose for a picture. Here comes the Magic...Houston we have a problem.
2. Lakers/Phil Jackson, Mr. I've never won anything without having 2 or 3 of the best players in the league, aren't I great.
3. Suns/Steve Nash, Mr. Fraud himself.

Without a doubt, LAL.

I don't know why you guys hate on Cleveland. Other then the fact that they pretty much ended our stay as the Eastern Elite. They have the best player in the league, and essentially a bunch of bench players who have bought into an amazing concept.

What they've done with 1 player is pretty impressive, let's see what happens with Shaq now. My guess is a championship ring.

I dislike LAL because quite honestly, I think they're over-rated. I think if anyone from the East other than the Magic they would have been ripped apart. Kobe can be stopped, and even with the best supporting cast (by far) they're still not that dominant.

everyone of the cavs starters are better than ours sans delonte. if they're a bunch of bench players our team must suck beyond belief.

Dallas. I can't stand Mark Cuban. I also hate the Lakers because they always sign the super stars (Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaq). It's a warm climate and big market, both attractive to free agents.

My top is prolly the Spurs. Manu's flopping and TP get on my nerves and I'm not a Tim Duncan fan at all. My hatred will prolly drop alittle now that Bowen is gone.

Second is a tie between the Cavs and Celtics.

AV doesn't have 1/4th of the talent CV has. If you're talking about flopping, and playing "elite man-to-man" defense, which is absolute insanity. He's a PF who's claim to fame is defense and yet he doesn't block shots.

He's arguably one of the least talented starting players in the league.

Parker is no where near being anywhere close to RIP in terms of talent.

You make a case with Mo Williams, but honestly his numbers are inflated, and they'll be right on par with Stuckey's this season (only stuckey should average more APG). With Shaq there, expect Maurice's looks to go down considerably.

Shaq is better then Kwame Brown, that's #2.

Lebron is the best player in the universe, that's number #1.

Again, they have 2 (maybe 3 including Mo who is questionable). It's easy to look good alongside Lebron. His days in Milwaukee were full of inflated stats and Losses.

Delonte West is garbage. He's a Larry Hughes clone minus the productive season. He's also not starting. But he was the starter last season so I suppose that's relevant.

They're good players in a system, individually (outside of Shaq and Lebron) they're all mediocre players (at best). Statistically, Historically, any which way you want to look at it.

Man, I've chilled in my old age. I'm still a big fan, but I don't take things to heart nearly as I used to when I was younger. I don't really hate any teams, but if I did, it would probably be the Celtics since I think several of their players are d-bags.

But, the only team I ever really hated were the Bulls because when I was younger and was more of a fanatic, that's when Michael and the Bad Boys got me into being a fan who would hate rival teams and players on those teams.

Cleveland, and it's not that close. Hate every player on that team basically, especially Shaq, Lebron and Delonte West. As far as I'm concerned, this NBA season is a success if they don't win the Championship.

Wow, that really is hate...

I think Shaq can be a jerk, but I found him amusing. I'm not a fan of LeBron, but I don't hate the guy.

I can't believe that alot of guys on here hate the bulls. I respect them for what they accomplished. (I grew up in Chicago so I guess I'm partially biased) How MJ had everyone even little old ladies cheering for him, he was the man AND HE PROVED IT 6 TIMES.. But Back on topic I never liked the Spurs because they stole the championship twice. Once in game 7 against the Knicks and once in game 7 against the Pistons. Also i never really cared for Kobe and the Lakers. They think they cant be beat. That they are elite. Well if Detroit cant win this year I'm betting on Orlando or Boston to take down the Lakers.

First of all, ending our stay as an elite team in the east is a pretty good reason to loathe them. Second, I can't say I agree with you about the Lakers. I really don't see how Kobe can be stopped. Even the other players in the league and the coaches joke about how you can't STOP the man, you can just try to contain him and make him take harder shots. Remember Shane Battier's defense against him in the playoffs last season? He had his freaking hand a centimeter from his face for half the shots Kobe took and he was still making it rain. Also, the Lakers simply have the most talented roster by a landslide. Their starting lineup is terrifying:

Fisher
Bryant
Gasol
Bynum
Artest

And to add to it, they're bench is deep. From Odom to Farmar to Brown, just about every player coming off the bench can ball and shoot the J (even Mbenga has made a midrange shot or two). The only thing I will give you is that they could play more sound defense. BUT they've made it known in the media that they're all buying into playing tighter defense in the hopes of repeating as champions.

Allrighty I feel better getting that off my chest.
