Man i was just thinking before that Rip injury that with a 20+ point lead with 5 minutes to go in the game starters should not of been on the floor. What do you do in that situation though? You don't wanna play Rip he is one of our better players, and you don't wanna play Gordon either as he is also one of our star players. So who do you play? I think Joe Dumars is kicking himself for releasing Deron Washington now. Because having him could of stopped that injury last night. With 10 guys on the roster last night there almost had to be starters on the court at the end (also counting Gordon as a starter). But other then Bynum really there was no true backup player on the bench to play at guard. We need another guard off the bench with or without Rip. 6 big guys on the active roster is to many.

slam jam thank you mam

I disagree. The Pistons don't need a third SG.

Players get hurt at any point in the game. You can't build a roster with the idea you need scrub players to play at the end of blowout games. Even if the Pistons had Deron Washington, he wouldn't have been active last night. With the two suspensions, the Pistons were only allowed 10 players on the active roster. Deron wouldn't have been activated anyway. And in future blowouts, Daye or Summers can slide over and play the 2-guard position if they really have to.

We definitely don't need any more guards.

Our suposed lack of depth at guard is certainly not at the shooting guard position. It is debatableif Stucky and Bynum can run the point, but either one is fine as the shooting guard. We essentialy have 4 shooting guards who are called upon to run the team as makeshift point guards.

What we need is rip to get his rest on, an get ready to smack up that bs orl, toronto, orl series of games comin up real soon. We got more then enough depth to make up for his loss in the mean time. Last i heard was he never sprained his ankle, he might have since the last time i heard that interview, yet if he never has, just what we need is a him rushing back from the groin tear, like he did last season... morale of the story rip needs to sit on his azz, then bust it once he gets back

He'll be out for 2 weeks I bet. Hopefully, this will increase Daye's minutes early this season.

We have three shooting guards and a shoot first point guard (Bynum). We don't need any more scoring guards.

Daye should be able to play at SG

6'11" shooting guard with 3 point range. Sounds great

Out of all the positions, another backup shooting guard is my last concern.

The first thing I said also, why is Rip even out there with this kind of lead in the final minutes? A shame he had to get hurt, hopefully not too badly. I think we need a back-up guard who is a work in progress.

No we don't need works in progress. Tay, Stuckey, Daye, & Summers could fill in at SG. Tay has filled in at SG before and actually did better than he normally does at SF.

you are right. Right now we need Rip back playing 100% and someone who can give us mid-range jump shots that go in. CV needs to get his game together and if Stuckey doesn't improve soon Bynum should start. Tay..I don't know what to say about Tay. He acts like he doesn't care so far.
