Yes, I know he had a big mouth and didn't do us any favors with the refs. I know he played half arse last year because CB got tradded, didn't respect the coach and didn't like playing with Ai.

But, he was/is a great low post defender. He is a very smart team basketball player. He streched the D with his shooting and was our only viable post threat. Everyone in the locker room listened to him and respected him.

Personally, I don't think CV has the game to replace him. Not to mention any of the other average big men the Pistons have on their team. He will be missed. On the other hand, he doesn't like playing for bad teams and probably would have pouted all season long again.

I won't miss the Rasheed we had last year. He defended the low post, but was too slow to close on perimeter shots, or defend the PF. He also took too many 3 pt shots, and had the lowest FG% of his career.

I believe Villanueva can replace Rasheed's scoring and rebounding. and Ben and Kwame can handle low post defense.

I will miss McDyess. He had his best year since joining the Pistons. He defended both the 4 and 5, and shot and rebounded better than Sheed.

See the thing about Rasheed is, he's tall and has a long wing span. He also could play some good basketball inside and out. He had a hot head but was passionate about the game. Yep.

I'm still a Rasheed fan. And, he brought entertainment and comedy to the game, along with a really good game. I do miss him, but I also understand it was his time to leave. His stay had run its course in Detroit. But even with a Celtics jersey, I won't ever dislike Rasheed.

Yeah, Charlie can't replace his overall game, especially post defense. But I don't think many players available would have. Just let Charlie be Charlie and try to improve on areas he needs work at.

no. hes played half arsed his entire career.

i think your way overrating sheed. he was an average post defender who couldnt defend anyone 15ft away from the basket or contest layups.

cv has already ready surpassed him on offense and rebounding. i would say its a wash.

Not missing him at all. Would of liked to have seen him leave about two years ago because that is when his act got old.

I'm a huge Rasheed fan but his time here was over. I won't miss him, but I'll always be a fan.

His laziness, technicals, not listening to his coaches or teammates, of course those things won't be missed. But I think his personality will be missed. There isn't a guy like him left on the team, kind of like how Nick Swisher is for the Yankees. Ben Gordon is super serious. I guess Charlie has some personality, but it just doesn't strike me as being as contagious as Sheed's generally, when it's in a positive way. I understand the frustration and even to an extent that hate on Rasheed, but I think he brought something a lot more than his skill set and talent. He wasn't a leader, but he was very much a galvanizing personality in terms of keeping the guys loose and laughing. I think teams need those kinds of guys. Most of us have that guy in our circle of friends, the loudmouth, obnoxious guy you sometimes hate but can't help but love. That was what made me such a fan of Rasheed, more than what his talents brought to the team.

That's a tough one. DO I miss the player he became and showed us over the past three years… NO. Will I miss the player that arrived about 5 years ago… Yes.

I love this team but I'm ready for a blow-up and rebuild. I could/would have handled that better than see pieces of us (them) shipped off to other teams.

Still missing Chauncey!

sheed needed a change of scenery, if he was here again he'd have a bad year. In boston i think he will be good, cause he has to bust his azz coming into that new situation. Here he'd just chill like he always does

I miss Sheed and Dice, I cant leave Dice out of this. I know all things end eventually, but our Front court smarts and overall quality took a serious blow with those two guys out.

I'm not saying that we will miss the attitude. I am saying we will miss his game. I don't think it can be replaced and I really not that high on CV yet. He has a lot to prove.

yeah cv has shown me nothing special, he's gotta step it up, his defense is pretty bad too, he can move his feet real good, yet he sucks at contesting shots

I miss Dice more. Sheed can play defense only when he feels like it. And that was seldom last season.

I don't miss him, but I really think he's going to light us up when he comes to the Palace.
