He rebounds well, plays with intensity and has **** good offensive skills for a big man. I think he handled the ball better than Dwight Howard.

Howard kept bringing the ball down low and getting it slapped away.

Gortat is a beast waitin for the chance. Get him Joe!!

Trade Rip, Tay and a protected 1st rounder to Toronto for you know who. That will clear up about 6 million in cap space plus the 2-3 million that we have left. That should be enough to sign Gortat and get Frye as a cheap backup and a 3rd string guard.

Gortat/Kwame/Frye
Bosh/Max/Summers
Charlie/Daye
Gordon/AA
Stuckey/Bynum/FA?

That looks pretty good and will still give us over 20 million off the books next year with Bosh, Bynum, Kwame, and Sharpe coming off.

Hold up,..

Gotat's a good backup but he's no Beast on either end of the floor. Also be advised he's now a Dallas Maverick,..and he doesn't fit their scheme in the least.

Play hard enough to win not weak enough to lose,..who's next?

Wow after all the Rockets went through to try to grab him he goes to a neighboring team - they set up a desperate crying out email from Rockets fans and even showed up at his doorstep at 12:01am on 7/1 to beg for his signing - funny he ended up with Mavs!!

why is everyone still hard over this guy? He's already stated he wants a max contract. That's $120M over five years, averging $24M. Now that would be a waste. He's good, but he's not worth half our salary cap. Or anybody's for that matter. CV is going to give us very similar stats to Bosh for 1/3 of what Bosh wants.

Hmm, since Gortat may be heading to Dallas are the Spurs going to try and offer Sheed more than Boston or does San Antonio have the money to do that?

P.S. Dujuan Blair is playing under Tim Duncan. Watch Blair learn from him and Blair will be the next great big that the Spurs have. (Maybe.)

They could go after Rasheed but I think they should go after Mcdyess. He plays better than Rasheed and already lives in Texas. I know Houston is in pursuit of Dyess but the Spurs offer a more realistic chance at a title and he could still be relatively close to home.
