i really don't believe they expected this guy to play a dale davis role. a few of us on here knew he still had something left, but the media said otherwise.

i think the pistons were just blowing smoke until he had time to prove himself. people probably would've been calling for joe's head had they known ben would be our starting center at the time we signed him. so far, so good though Razzer

I don't care who starts as long as we win.

We already know alot of people can not think for themselves on here. They believe anything the media says and make thedecisions based from those opinions. Like with the Darko pick.

I've been very impressed with Ben so far, despite it being very early. I didn't like the pick-up at all, much less the idea of him starting or playing big minutes. I thought he was done. So, I've been pleasantly surprised and I hope he proves me wrong all season long, and stays healthy and fresh enough to prove me wrong all season long.

bens hustle and heart have been off the charts his confidence is back he enjoys the game again and he's showing us that he knew he made a mistake ever leaving .. i agree on the back to back trips .. he needs to stay fresh throughout the season .. i'm lovin his mentality this year

This brings me to this question: Why was he so horrible everywhere else? I mean seriously. It just doesn't make any sense. Was he just not putting forth the effort? Well that blows for the teams that picked him up...

Ben is still great at doing all the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet. I worry about his health and energy level as the season goes along. But, he is in amazing shape so you never know.

It also amazes me how our team seems to fall apart when he leaves the game.

i think the only reason ben got worn down in that dump we call cleveland, was cause they didn't use him right, so his heart wasn't in it, which all of us should know, ben's heart is what makes him go

Alright, so he keeps up this pace all year. Does busting his *** this year and what he has done in the past for us translate into a retired number in the Palace?

A friend of mine said the exact same thing today.

When did Ben Wallace fall apart in the first place?

Last season per 36 minutes, he averaged double digit boards, with a steal and a block. In 22mpg, he averaged 7, 1, and 1.

Hes put up numbers every year hes been in the L, he never let up. He even averaged 11+rpg in Chicago. He never stopped...

What I'm afraid of is if he decides to retire after this year. It may sound crazy, but I think it'll be hard to replace him based on the way he's been playing lately.

I think Ben should just rip the 3 off Stuckey's back and claim it as his own again. Why does Stuckey wear 3 in the first place? For his man crush on D-Wade? Yeah, Ben should get it back ASAP.

I agree. When I first saw Ben Wallace warming up in his pregame Pistons attire before our first preseason game, it warmed the ****les of my heart, bringing back a wave of fond, nostalgic memories. In other words, it looked right.

Then he took the warm-ups off. And let me tell you, number 6 is not a good look for him.

I think the only thing worse than Ben in that 6, is Stuckey in that 3 underachieving so much. Ben has earned the number back. What's the bigger crime? Leaving for more money or worshiping D-Wade and playing like garbage?

I predicted he'd beat out Kwame when we first signed him. Wink But then the media fooled me into thinking he'd just be a 5th big man. Shows what the media knows.
