is there any reason why the Bucks game wasn't a statement game? you know, aside from the purpose of validating this thread

I'm not really sure the Magic game was a statement game.

i can see the Pistons thinking the Magic game was a statement game. Maybe even memphis but this is ridiculous.

Well, then that would mean...

Non-statement games... 0-2???

Saying more? I'd imagine there will be a lot more non-statement games on an 82 game schedule. I guess we as fans should be very concerned.

Hey at least he is being positive.

I am tired of all the negative people on here, giving up after 2 freaking losses.

Being positive is cool. Being negative is fine too. Being nonsensical and unreasonable to either extreme is something I have more of an issue with. But it's a free country, a public messageboard, so oh well...

last nights game tonights game, an the next game are all statement games cause that is the most bs schedule i ever seen, play orl, then fly all the way to toronto, then fly all the way down to orlando, thats bs. So we gotta show that no matter how bad the nba wants orlando to finally beat us... THEY CAN'T

But AI didn't even play. And the NBA schedule is always full of hard trips. Not to mention, Toronto isn't really that long of a trip.

Lol, a flight from Toronto to Orlando is about a 2 1/2 hour flight, and we're talking about a private luxury jet. And, we're also talking about the second week of the season as opposed to having the grind of a long season having put its toll on the players' legs yet if it were deep into the season sometime in March or April. Maybe you'd have an argument if it were a back-to-back both road games, but even that's a stretch. That's not a tough schedule. Considering four of the first five teams the Pistons play/played this season were lottery teams last year, I think criticizing the schedule is pretty ridiculous.

all right orl home, then back to back with toronto there, then one day off game at orl, how can u tell me thats not bs, there trying to favor orlando an toronto. which is why we can't underestimate toronto, thats the killer if we lose this one, then we lose momentum to smack up orlando by even more next time around

2-1 statement games.

And, Voice, you're simply ridiculous. Every team in the league has similar stretches of 3-4 tough games if not more. You can go up and down each team's schedule and find several of those for every single NBA team. It's ridiculous to suggest the schedule is any more tough than any other team at some point during the season.

I thought Orlando's game against Phoenix was a huge statement game.

They pretty much said, "Yeah, Pistons got us on an off night. This is our real team."

They completely destroyed Phoenix.

I was kind of thinking that we're 2-3 in statement games. We should've beat OKC and the Bucks. That sent a statement that we're not better than a lot of the lottery teams like myself, and just about everyone on this board, thought that we were. So I'm saying 2-3 in statement games. Haha.

Our team hasn't even been together long enough to have statement games.
