How'd you think the new refs did? I started out thinking they were doing a pretty decent job, but the further into the game we got, the worse the calls seemed to get, not in that one team was favored over the other, but how inconsistent and wrong a lot of the calls were.

And I swear, this is the first time I've ever seen referees "choke" in a game before. Once things were close, they got a little whistle-happy, and then had to meet in committee to make sure they got things right. If I remember correctly, there was even a time when they blew the whistle for a foul, then met to decide which team it would be assessed to after the fact.

Like Kuester said, though, it was their first NBA game, but I think it gave me a little more respect for the job the normal refs do.

I didn't mind them, it's the preseason for them too, don't forget that the original refs sucked in preseason too.

Yeah, I'm not really complaining too much, I just thought the game got bogged down by far too many tick-tack fouls. The problem was compounded by the fact that the refs never acted very sure of themselves, thought it's understandable, being their first game and all.

Would have liked to know what was going through their heads when Bynum was shooting those free throws, though. I don't know why they took so long to get that right. I think that's the first time I've ever seen that happen. It was a really weird play.

Ejecting Jerebko for getting punched in the face was just ridiculous.

What i liked a lot from the refs was, that when a guy drove to the basket, you can see there eyes on the restricted area, not at the rim seeing if or not the ball goes in. An they made a great call on the daye block, i thought for sure since it was wade they'd call a foul, also when maxy laid the ball in, an they called the blocking foul, i was like oh no they gonna call a charge, then surprise they got it right, then i realized o shi new refs!

yeah that was pretty bad, i think magloire thought jonas gave him a shot in the back of the head, when it was his head slamming into his own player. An if he was tryin to be an intimidator, he just looked like a chump

The paper said that Jerebko punch Maglor back while they were on the ground. Even Jerebko admit so.

I thought the refs were very whistle happy last night. Not sure if that was on purpose to show some athority or what but the game had no flow. It was very hard to watch.

i think the flow was hindered by great defense by both teams, an it was also the first game, you can't simulate game speed in practice, nor how another great team is gonna defend ya, they had no scouting reports on each other, as far as schemes go

an when magloire slammed his head in his own player is what made him punch jonas, an jonas retaliated. I dunno why a suspension it wasn't all that bad, yet i can see where the league wouldn't want it getting out of hand, that was very minor though imo, it was more like a pushing match in my eyes, then a fight,
