Detroits problem is that they signed no valuable free agents this year to take them back to the top. They passed on many players example: Betty lennox,Tina Thomson,Bill stand pat and after the season started, he realised the mistake he made(0-3) ,and their was no way in fixing the shock so he quit and gave up on the team leaving it in a mess for mahorn who knows nothing about personal thats whe he done nothing to make the team better.

Nobody cares about the Shock because they all seem to know something we don't know, which seems to be that the team isn't going to be around for much longer. Betty Lennox and Tina Thompson have little to do with it.
________________________ She's a pretty girl, she's always falling down, and I think I just fell in love with her. But she won't ever remember, remember. And I can always find her, at the bottom of a plastic cup....drowning in drunk sincerity, a sad and lonely girl.
I have a problem with you saying Laimbeer and the Shock "passed" on players like Betty Lennox and Tina Thompson. Those players have to want to go to Detroit for the Shock to have "passed" on them. If Bill thought he could have gotten either or both of them to sign with Detroit, I'm sure he would have tried. And, who's to say that Bill and the Shock didn't approach those players? Unless you have inside knowledge they didn't, then you can't say the Shock "passed" on them.
Free agency is a two way street. If LeBron goes into free agency next summer and decides to sign with the New Jersey Nets but before the Pistons even offered him a contract, he makes it known to the Pistons that they shouldn't even bother because he's not listening to them, that doesn't mean the Pistons "passed" on LeBron. It means LeBron passed on the Pistons. Your criticisms are predicated on inaccurate facts.
Those players are examples of the many many players bill could have gotten.bill ended up with no-one thats my complaint. He did nothing to improve the team except quiting and leaving the team.

Here's the free agents detroit could have went for ,and they chose to stay pat which is their loss and the reason that they will not make the playoffs:
Here's the proof I rest my case!
P.S Jelly maybe you do not know this but WNBA sport teams can go after free agents and restricted free agents and sign them to improve their team. Also Jelly you have zero proof that the shock could not get free agents like tina and betty. (Go eat another jelly donut, and wake up and smell the coffee.)
free agents:
Svetlana Abrosimova Connecticut Tully Bevilaqua Indiana Kiesha Brown Los Angeles Latasha Byears Houston Margo Dydek Los Angeles Yolanda Griffith Seattle Lauren Jackson Seattle Vickie Johnson San Antonio Betty Lennox Atlanta Mwadi Mabika Houston Hamchetou Maiga-Ba Houston Chasity Melvin Chicago Ticha Penicheiro Sacramento Elaine Powell Detroit Tamika Raymond Connecticut Nykesha Sales Connecticut Sheri Sam Detroit Kelly Schumacher Detroit Olympia Scott Phoenix Michelle Snow Houston Penny Taylor Phoenix Nikki Teasley Atlanta LaToya Thomas Minnesota Tina Thompson Houston Erin Thorn New York DeMya Walker Sacramento Ann Wauters San Antonio Adrian Williams Sacramento
restricted free agents:
Kara Braxton Detroit Jamie Carey Connecticut Jen Derevjanik Phoenix Shyra Ely Seattle Vanessa Hayden-Johnson Minnesota Roneeka Hodges Houston Dalma Ivanyi San Antonio Temeka Johnson Los Angeles Laurie Koehn Washington Cathrine Kraayeveld New York Doneeka Lewis Indiana Jessica Moore Los Angeles Chelsea Newton Sacramento Bernadette Ngoyisa Indiana Ashley Robinson Seattle KB Sharp Chicago Tanisha Wright Seattle

Now that they have made the EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS for the 4th year in a roll, would it be safe to say that someone here needs a KNIFE AND FORK WITH THEIR CROW!
GO SHOCK!

Detroit is now out of the platoffs just like i said at the beginning of the season.Shock chose to add no good free agents while other teams did and by doing that they are the one's advancing in the playoffs.Maybe next year the shock will pick up a a couple of free agents.

this is from a bb fan form Indiana and stlouis. shock has some great players -nolan is amazing. watching the games against fever I have a problem. more than any team i have seen in wnba some shock players obviously have been coached to use their arms, hands, fingers to hit opponents faces, necks, other vulnerable areas. i know the bad boy legacy and appreciate toughness but this is dangerous and unprofessional. if you cant compete on talent get better- dont demean the game with this crap.
That's b.s. And you know it. They made it to the ECF without Pierson and Smith. When you said they were finished, no way did you mean they'd lose in the ECF without two of their key players. Let's be serious.
Good job to the Shock ladies for turning their season around after a rough start. And good job to Coach Mahorn leading these ladies along the way.
Let get serious, every team has injuries but in the shocks team they have no depth because they did not pick up any good free agents. So it cost the the championship. And unless they pick up good free agents next year they will have the same problem going into the playoffs someone will be injured and will have to count on the back-ups which right now are they worthless.
P.S. you could say good job ladies but very bad job management for not picking up better back-ups.

So when you said the Shock were finished or done at the beginning of the season, you expected them to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals?
B.S. And, those two free agents you cried about in Tina Thompson and Betty Lennox, well they went to a team that already had Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie and Delisha Milton-Jones, and the Shock made it as far as them.
Every team has its share of injuries, but you're not being "serious." Katie Smith and Plenette Pierson are two of their best 4 players. You don't lose two of your best 4 players regardless of how much depth you have and go that far.
You were wrong in your criticism. Admit that much. When you said Laimbeer left because he knew the Shock were done, you never imagined the Shock would get back in the playoffs and make it to the ECF. Please. Again, that's b.s.
