I thought about new prediction for the stats and more
Point leader: Taurasi 23.4 PPG
Rebound leader: Ford (if she remains healthy) 10.6 boards/game
Assist leader: Whalen 5.8 assists/game
Block leader: Leslie 2.7 swats/game
I believe the Eastern playoff continention will be more intense.
I'm glad to see Holdsclaw back in the WNBA. I just hope she can stay until she's permanently ready to call it quits.
Point average will be a bit higher than last season.
I predict the Shock regular season home opener to be a BIG crowd
The Sparks will sell out some of their games (maybe to the extent of opening the upper levels for games)
Anybody with more predictions about the WNBA season?

Right on, right on!!!!! i also agree with whoever said that Deanna could score 50+.

Do you think a player will realistically break the 50 point barrier this season?
What are you predictions standing wise and playoffs?
Like I've said before, I love hearing from the people
BTW, Nolan can break the 50 point barrier if given the chance (I'm VERY pumped up for the 2009 season)

I might not be able to attend a WNBA game this season. I am glad I can watch games on my computer. However, when I'm out in California for the summer, I would attend a LA Sparks game. BTW, I'm still proud to say I was there to witness Candace Parker's first slam dunk.

CONGRATULATIONS SHOCK FOR BECOMING A DYNASTY

Nolan could really easily beat that record if she wanted to, I know it. The obstacle is that the Shock are a very leveled team, so there's no reason for one player to score a whole bunch of points like that. You see the other teams that this has happened to--Phoenix (DT had 49) and Minnesota (Katie had 46), they were teams with basically one major scorer.

I really don't like DT though and I hope her record is broken this year!

DT had 47, along with Lauren Jackson

I'm soooo excited. The WNBA season begins today. The defending champ Detroit Shock take on the Los Angeles Sparks at Staples Center 11:30am PST/2:30pm EST on ABC. I expect great for this and every season in the past and future!
